Vision Statement

FBCAAUK is a registered UK charity committed to creating an empowering and inclusive environment for students and lecturers at Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. Our vision is to enhance the educational experience and outcomes for all students, ensuring that they are supported academically, professionally, and personally throughout their journey.

This vision is rooted in the recognition of a shared responsibility among stakeholders—including alumni, friends, and supporters of Fourah Bay College—to establish a sustainable platform for human capital development. We believe in fostering intergenerational collaboration that spans both Sierra Leone and the global diaspora.

Our approach is guided by a core values framework, known as the Four Pillar Principle, which is upheld by our trustees, executive committee, and members. These pillars safeguard our mission by actively rejecting:

  • Politicisation of issues

  • Tribalism

  • Corruption and dishonesty

  • Nepotism

These foundational values ensure that FBCAAUK operates with integrity, unity, and transparency as we continue to build an impactful legacy.

Over the years, we have assembled a dedicated and diverse team of trustees, executive members, and working committees committed to delivering on this vision.
