“I don't necessarily miss college, but God, I miss people. I Miss knowing what's going on in their lives.
There were great people, to whom I felt quite close., miss that closeness. Some people are forces to reckon with.
As you grow older, you realize that friendships are harder to manage when responsibilities hit.
On the college side,
I miss the struggle for showers in the morning, and rush for early morning classes, could be worse. Some lectures never show up.
I miss the moments when we had to gather at Bostick, amphitheater for random speeches, quizzes, etc.
I miss when we used to scream on top of our lungs, " pour, pour," to indicate support for best speakers.
I miss election seasons and manifesto nights when candidates were given the opportunity to sell themselves to the audience and to speak on what they intend to do if elected. U want yeri grammar?
The victory( or defeat ) nights were something else...winners take charge of the campus, and those on the losing team chased out of campus
I miss our sports meets where my Hall, Davidson- Nicole, would only have the best songs, lol. Solomon Caulker and Bai Bureh tie for the win.
Oh, how I miss the success rallies organized by The Bible Student Union.
I miss 3rd world, the affordable cafeterias. Obelisk is what LOR is to the people right now.
I miss the nights when club members are out all night chilling, singing. The initiation nights, the cry of the Aura devil, etc.
Miss the Q guys who used to occupy the mass communications steps in their beautiful Friday apparel.
Passing by the wisdom tree to annex the guys, hearing those familiar whistles , who wouldn't miss that?
I miss those days! Do you?”
